Letter:We are not a serialgrantpreneur

April 22nd, 2011 by TeratoMan

This is not really an open letter.

It’s more like a confession. Please treat this as a reminder for all of us that we’re in a world full of venal minds. People who will always try to snatch something if not everything from you. Be aware friends, be really aware.

You are invited to spread this around. Thank you.

I approve of this message. If you ever need introduction to honest good investors to help you expand and grow your business, I’d be more than happy to help set something up. No kick-backs or commission BS.

That’s some shitty timeline to get a grant. Bravo for shoving that back into their throats.

Looks like u guys have potential, perhaps what you need is VC / Angel money but not grants anymore. With VC / Angel, you get valuable guidance and pave inner roads towards your milestones as a whole.

Sadly the VC scene in Malaysia is practically non existant except for 1 or 2. Rest are m’sian angels, you can check ViC (www.vic.org.my), and 2 angel investors that i came across.. Lu Pat Ng (not sure of address) and

Dude for technology grant that was a very long wait! The idea which they might pitched 1 year ago might became obselete already! Traction will be lost cause user lose interest on the product because the product is now to common, general, everyone is doing it.and most important at all the cost which the company might be having will be double like engineers become much more expensive than 1 year ago and the technology is different no one might not even want to use it anymore.

Grant allocation duit dah ade disburse la cepat,ni bukan payment jamuan makan tahunan.

Assuming all is good submission-wise, that’s a wonderful 1-year wait.
